Over 150 MNS supporters from the Bay Area business and charitable community came together on December 8 to raise $30,000 for the organization. Hosted at the home of Alexandra and Spencer Wells, the first ever MusicianCorps “Friend Raiser” was a great success and celebration of the impact MNS is making in the Bay Area.

“MusicianCorps is an important program that we believe very strongly in,” said hostess Alexandra Wells. “It was our pleasure to open our home for such a great cause." Through their charitable foundation, the Wells family has made a sustaining commitment to MNS as part of its Founder’s Circle. Mr. Wells also serves on MNS's Board of Directors.

“We are very fortunate to have so many leaders embrace our mission and recognize the transformative impact music can have in our schools and community,” said MNS CEO & Founder Kiff Gallagher. “This was a groundbreaking event for us, and we are so thankful for the support of all who attended.”

The event featured testimonials from current MusicianCorps Fellows Meagan Hughes and Hernando Buitrago, who shared stories about the children and patients they serve in San Francisco and Oakland. Live music was provided by MusicianCorps Alum Alex Pinto, a local recording artist and educator.
