Music Service Days
Music Service Days bring together musicians, students, parents, and corporate volunteers for a day of community and music engagement.
DAYS OF SONG & SERVICE
One to two times per year, including the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday every January, MNS hosts a Day of Song & Service to celebrate the local music community while putting hundreds of volunteers to work in various service projects benefiting a school or other public setting. Volunteers represent all ages and backgrounds, including students and parents from local schools, community-based organizations, and corporate employees.
WORKSHOPS
Throughout the year, MusicianCorps Mentors and volunteer musicians engage underserved populations in co-creative music making workshops at children's and veteran's hospitals, homeless shelters, juvenile justice centers, foster homes, hospice residences, and other high need settings. Workshops give participants an opportunity to learn new instruments, join in on songs, and work together to create music.

MusicianCorps Mentors lead a drum circle workshop for foster care youth in San Jose, California.
