Training & Professional Development

MusicianCorps Mentors attend a week long pre-service training, two weeks of site-based training, as well as professional development workshops throughout the year guided by experts in the fields of music instruction, education, community service and youth development.  PD focuses on behavior management, lesson planning, evaluation, arts integration, effective civic engagement, school and community partnerships, learning through music and 21st century workforce skills development.
